The old BMW fuel pump outer canister, the NAPA fuel pump, and a piece of foam I cut out of the large block. The hole in the center of the foam is much smaller than the new fuel pump so it gives a very tight fit. The outside diameter of the foam is also much larger than the old canister, also for a tight fit. The foam is easily cut with scissors or a razor.
